Payment for all outpatient and emergency services is due at the time that services are received. Our doctors will advise you of the approximate and actual costs of services and request permission to perform the related treatments. They will update you on the cost of care if it should exceed the initial estimate.
All surgery and procedure costs are required prior to performing the service on or before the date it is scheduled. We will prepare a written plan and present that to you in advance of the service whenever possible. The full cost of the estimated services at the high end of the cost range will be collected and all payments that are not needed will be refunded to you at the time of discharge to the original method of payment.
We will not exceed the estimated cost of treatment beyond $200 without your permission.
We want to help you with any pet insurance claims. We may be able to get preapproval through Trupanion Insurance if you have a policy with them for your pet. In many cases they will be able to approve any covered portion of your pet's treatment plan and we will collect the difference between the insurance coverage and your portion of the costs. Please be sure to tell us if you have any pet health insurance. We can help with claim forms if you are paying for services that could be reimbursed.
