Ruth Marrion, DVM, DACVO, PhD has been on staff at Bulger Veterinary Hospital since 1998 caring for cats, dogs and many other species eye issues. Dr. Marrion and her staff of veterinary technicians work together to provide medical and surgical treatments for a wide range of ophthalmic needs including: cataracts, keratoconjunctivitis (dry eye), corneal ulcers, glaucoma, uveitis, distichiasis, cherry eye and entropion, and more.
The consultation fee for your pet's initial exam is $185 and includes the complete eye examination and:
- Fluorescein stain for ulcers
- Microscopic exam of eyelids, iris, cornea, lens
- Retinal examination
- Tear test for dry eye
- Tonometry for glaucoma
Following your exam the ophthalmologist will communicate her findings, recommendations and instructions to you and to your primary veterinarian for continuity of care and a collaborative approach to your pet's condition.
